So I stumbled across My Dear Darling's amazing little penguins on Etsy and instantly was in love with them. I am eying the "personalized couple penguins" for me and my boyfriend, but am trying to decide if spending the money on them would be a good idea right now. haha. I just think it would be perfect for my penguin collection!
See, I have a somewhat... borderline unhealthy obsession with penguins. Whenever I see anything penguin, I feel the compulsion to buy it right away!
It all started with my Magellanic Penguin backpack from Sea World (his name is Filip!) I wore it over to my boyfriends' house, and his mom was like "Oh, you like penguins?" And she took off from there! Everyone I know is in on it too. If they find something penguin, they buy it for me to add to my collection. I love it, because every little guy I have is from someone I love, and the memories of them are attached with it. So now my whole room is covered with penguin stuff. Most of it is displayed on my giant shelf from Ikea. I'm proud of it. haha.
Anyhoo, My Dear Darling is having a giveaway to launch the selling of their new mini penguin plushies! I'm so glad I happened to stumble across it as well, because, well, come on! They are just too adorable! I entered into the contest, and am keeping my fingers crossed that I will win one. He's all mini and perfect, and I would carry him around with me everywhere. I think I'd name him Ruepert too... They are just amazing! So, keep your fingers crossed for me and hope that I win him!
